The nice weather has finally graced the residents of Flin Flon, Denare Beach and Creighton with its presence. And now it's time to bask in all its glory. The local in motion committee has put the challenge out to residents of the three areas to hike or bike to work this week. With the weather forecast calling for mostly sunny days Ð with a few showers Ð the committee hopes to see the majority of the communities walking or biking to work. Though some jobs require a vehicle, there are a few loopholes to getting your name entered for a prize. Taking a walk at lunch-hour or at noon-hour is a perfect way to still be in motion during the work day. As an even bigger incentive, residents are encouraged to enter their names into the draw Ð which will be made June 8 Ð for three prizes. Gift certificates from Dembinsky's, Kick it Sports and JoJo's Sport and Leisure Wear are up for grabs. The Hike or Bike to Work Week is also a good way to get started for the summer's Get Caught In Motion program. Participants can enter their names at the Primary Health Care Centre, Aqua Centre, Flin Flon City Hall, Flin Flon Friendship Centre, the Flin Flon Rec Office or the Town of Creighton. For those residents who don't have the option to stop into one of the many locations, phone Fran Labarre at 687-1355 to have your name entered. The draw will be made June 8 on CFAR 590.
