Another achievement of our team was that Eileen Pawliuk won the MHSAA athlete of the week award for her performance in Selkirk. At City Provincials the athletes managed to again set some personal bests such as Eileen Pawliuk's previous time of 12:06:74 in the 3000 m becoming 11:51.17. Jeanelle Leclair also set a new personal best of 10.29 m in the triple jump, which put her into third place for a bronze medal. The JV boys managed to shave off some time to finish at 48.83 seconds, which was an improvement from the performance that saw them win the gold medal at Rural Provincials, but it was just shy of seeing them into the finals. All in all the coaches were all very impressed with the effort put forth by every team member throughout the entire season. Things are looking very bright in Hapnot's track and field future.
