The Hapnot Kopper Kings fell behind in the finals against the Thompson Trojans, but gained a late lead to win the pre-zones tournament 51-48.
The Kings went 2-1 in the round robin play of last weekend’s tournament as the Kweens went 1-2.
The Kweens were defeated in the semifinals by MBCI from The Pas.
Thompson’s RD Parker Trojans picked up the 41-28 win over The Pas.
The Kween’s next tournament, the Transcona Optimist, is in Winnipeg this weekend. The Kings will travel to Winnipeg the following weekend.
