Hapnot Collegiate’s junior varsity boys’ and girls’ volleyball teams will be hitting the court this weekend.
The Kopper Kings and Kopper Kweens will play host to four other teams in this weekend’s zone 11 tournament. Last year’s zone champs for both boys’ and girls’ volleyball, both teams will attempt to repeat that success.
Hapnot will be joined on the court by Thompson’s RD Parker Trojans, the MBCI Spartans from The Pas, Cross Lake’s Otter Nelson River Nikiks and Norway House’s Helen Betty Osborne IERC Huskies. Each team will field teams in both boys’ and girls’ draws.
Games will be held at Hapnot and École McIsaac School Friday and Saturday. The boys’ and girls’ will alternate venues, with the girls’ side playing at Hapnot on Friday and McIsaac on Saturday, and the boys’ side playing Friday at McIsaac and Saturday at Hapnot. Both boys’ and girls’ finals will be held Saturday afternoon at Hapnot.
