Kelly Carrington Staff Writer The Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame honours its late inductees with The Final Faceoff, a feature in its regular newsletter. A recent copy of the newsletter included the late Hec McCaig, who was a longtime Flin Flon Bomber executive. McCaig served as the trainer for the 1957 Memorial Cup team. McCaig passed away Sept. 9, 2011 in Mission, BC. Meanwhile, Fred Creighton, originally from Brandon, passed away Sept. 25, 2011 in Sacramento, California. Creighton spent time with the Flin Flon Bombers before playing 11 seasons of minor pro. He went on to coach pro for 19 years, including five NHL seasons with Atlanta and one with Boston. Creighton was inducted as a builder into the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame in 2009, a feature in its regular newsletter.
