The Phantom Lake Driving Range was full of spectators as the semifinals got underway for the Million Dollar Hole in One contest on Sunday. As golfers gave it their best swing throughout the week for their chance to win a million dollars, it was Brad Burke who came closest to the pin in the finals. Burke was against Matt Hill, Jim Rasmussen, Kelly Post and Grant McCluckie Sunday night. All five top finalists walked away with a prize, as well as bragging rights. While this marked the end of the 7th Annual Million Dollar Hole in One in Flin Flon, Burke heads to the Northern Playoffs to compete against the top finalist from Thompson and The Pas. The winner from there will then compete in Nationals in Whistler, B.C, while the remaining two will play in Provincials in Saskatoon for their chance to play in Whistler. ÒThere were no million dollar winners this year,Ó says CFARÕs Maureen Kozar, ÒBut (everyone) had fun.Ó Money collected from the week long contest, which was promoted by CFAR, was donated to the TriService Club to help with costs of FlintyÕs Boardwalk.
