Kelly Carrington Staff Writer The Million Dollar Hole in One is back in Flin Flon! The Tri-Service clubs _ Kinsmen, Rotary and Lions _ are raising money for the Women's Resource Centre children's lunch program this year. With proceeds going toward that valuable program, Dianne O'Brien of sponsor CFAR 590 hopes to see plenty of golfers out. Golfers will take their swings at a new location, Foster Park, where organizers hope to hold the event for a few years. In the past the event has been held at the Phantom Lake driving range, Creekside Park and, last summer, the Creighton Community Soccer Field. O'Brien hopes the new location will attract a larger crowd. 'Creighton worked really well last year, but (at Foster Park), everyone has a chance to be aware that it is going on in the community,' said O'Brien, noting that the park is in a prominent location. Aside from helping the local lunch program, golfers have the chance at ultimately winning $1 million as well as a variety of daily prizes. O'Brien says it isn't always the experienced golfers who walk away with the prizes. 'There has been on occasion that it's a non-golfer that has won the vehicle,' she said. The Million Dollar Hole in One is open to all residents _ youth, adults and seniors. O'Brien encourages residents to make a donation to the event in support of the children's lunch program. Golfing gets underway tomorrow and will carry through until Sunday.
