The Creighton Community School senior B girls volleyball team walked away with first place at a tournament in The Pas over the weekend. The JR Varsity Invitational Tournament was between five teams, three of which were from The Pas/OCN, one from Thompson and one from Creighton. This was the girls' third tournament of the season and with one left to go, coach Ryan Trumbley says the girls have been playing really well together. "The girls are fantastic to coach," he says, adding that "the first thing the girls ask after they play a game is, 'How do we get better?'" Trumbley says after winning the tournament in The Pas, the team still wanted to be a better team, which he says "makes my job a lot easier as a coach." The girls team, which is made up of Grade 9 and 10 students, practices five times a week and "works really hard," according to the coach.
