Organizers are calling the 2017 CFAR Million Dollar Hole In One a success.
The event wrapped up July 23 at the Phantom Lake Golf Course after awarding $41,000 in prizes.
Lucas Reid, 7, was among four golfers to land a hole-in-one. He is the youngest golfer in the history of the event to score an ace. He won $1,300 worth of prizes that day.
Also scoring holes-in-one were Erin Ginnell, Blake Alexander and Leon Janvier.
Ginnell, Alexander and Janvier got to swing for a million dollars. Ginnell was closest to the pin, followed by Alexander in second and Janvier in third.
Ginnell won a flight and golf package.
Jason Fehr won the men’s longest-drive competition with a 255-yard drive. On the ladies’ side, Lauren Fox won with a 181-yard drive. Natasha Ward won the 50-50 ball drop.
The annual Million Dollar Hole In One sees CFAR work with the Rotary, Kinsmen and Lions clubs to raise money for charitable initiatives, though the Lions were unable to assist this year.
This year’s proceeds will go to Flin Flon/Creighton Minor Ball and the Flin Flon / Creighton Slo-Pitch League.
