The Weyburn Red Wings have announced defenseman Justin Favreau has agreed to a scholarship with the St. Norbert Green Knights (NCAA Div III) in DePere, Wisconsin. Favreau was acquired from the BCHL's Nanaimo Clippers at midseason and went on to score three goals and 20 assists in 27 games. A more telling stat was the Wings went 20-5-2 after his acquisition and were 18-and-11 before that point. Meanwhile, the Battlefords North Stars have announced defenseman Nick Martin has committed to NAIT of the ACAC. Martin offered a veteran presence and brought stability to the Star blueline after being brought in via trade from the MJHL's Swan Valley Stampeders during the season. The Flin Flon Bombers have announced forward Josh Garneau will go to Grant MacEwan in Leduc, Alberta. Garneau had 29 points in 29 games for the Bombers upon being acquired from the AJHL's Drayton Valley Thunder.
