CanadaÕs Parks Day is Saturday, July 19 and Manitobans and visitors can explore nature and enjoy free admission to provincial parks, Conservation Minister Stan Struthers announced yesterday. Normal entry fees for Manitoba provincial parks will be waived for three days only on July 18, 19 and 20. Campground and other fees remain in place. ÒOur provincial parks have much to offer and we encourage everyone to take advantage of the free entry to provincial parks for a great outdoor Manitoba experience,Ó said Struthers. ÒManitobans enjoy some of the best campgrounds, beaches and picnic areas in the country through our provincial park system and I encourage everyone to visit their favourite provincial park on CanadaÕs Parks Day weekend.Ó service and the RCMP. The Manitoba government has invested in green technologies as new facilities are developed and existing facilities are improved. New green campground entrance buildings have been constructed at Birds Hill and Reed Lake campgrounds. At the West Hawk Lake campground, a newly constructed modern washroom and shower building has been specifically designed to be more energy and water efficient. Free park entry on July 18, 19 and 20 is only available in ManitobaÕs provincial parks.
