Along with packing their sliders and stopwatches, Jason Jacobson and his team will have to pack a few extra pair of mittens as they are heading up North to compete in Mixed curling Nationals. Jacobson, who is originally from Denare Beach, will be representing Saskatchewan, along with Skip Darrell McKee, third Allison Gergardt and Lead, and wife, Amanda Jacobson. The four left Thursday night for 10-day stay in Iqaluit, Nunavut to compete against 11 other teams from Canada. From there, the top four teams will compete in playoffs. Last year, the team won the Saskatoon mixed city playdowns, but missed their change at the Brier. This team was formed by Jason last year when his menÕs team was beat out in the Provincial final. The says they are excited to get going and see what is ahead of them. Because of the remote location, the Nationals will not likely be televised, but information can be found at www.curling.ca
