Northland Ford’s fourth Annual Teddy Bear Toss comes to the Whitney Forum, tonight.
Flin Flon Bomber fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used stuffed animals and toys to be donated to those less fortunate, this Christmas season.
Bears, as well as toys collected off ice, will be donated to the Christmas Cheer programs through the Flin Flon Friendship Centre, the Salvation Army, and the Flin Flon Elks.
“We’d like to encourage everyone to bring a teddy bear to the game, tonight,”said Ford’s Nikki McConnell, who is spearheading the campaign.
When the Bombers score their first goal against the visiting Melville Millionaires, fans will throw their teddies on the ice.
The teddies will be collected – along with those toys not suitable to be thrown on the ice – and donated to the three Christmas programs.
Northland Ford donated 130 toys and teddies in their first year and have increased their numbers each time.
They hope to bring in even more stuffed animals this year.
Toys collected through the drive are donated to the Christmas programs and will help make Christmas a little brighter.
A Northland Ford truck made its way around the Whitney Forum last year for their Teddy Toss. Tonight, Ford will be collecting new or gently used stuffed animals and other toys for those less fortunate this Christmas. Teddies will be tossed on the ice after the Bombers score their first goal.
