Leg warmers, bow ties and cowboy duds were just a few of the fashion choices as members of the Flin Flon Skating Club represented the past 75 years.
Skaters performed in groups, duets and as solo acts for parents, peers and past club members on the weekend for their 75th Anniversary Ice Show on Sunday.
The skaters, ranging in age and ability from Canskate to Senior Starskate, showcased their skills to various tunes, including AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck,” Rednex’s “Cotton Eye Joe,” Aqua’s “Barbie Girl,” Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off,” the Wizard of Oz’s “Over The Rainbow” and “When You Wish Upon A Star” from Disney’s Pinocchio, to name a few.
The club had 57 skaters this year with many participating in various out-of-town competitions as well as those just getting a feel for the ice for the first time.
