Imagine watching an NHL exhibition game at the Whitney Forum. The possibility is there, as Brenda Russell, director of recreation for the City of Flin Flon has told The Reminder that the City will be submitting an application to the Kraft Hockeyville 2006 contest. Russell indicated that the City will work with minor hockey, the Bombers organization and the Bomber Historical Society. The group intends to have the application ready to be submitted by the second or third week of February. Russell wants the public to be aware that if they have any historical information or thoughts to help, that they can contact her at 681-7502. The winner, to be announced on June 11, 2006, will receive $25,000 in arena upgrades from the Home Depot along with an NHL exhibition game.1/2/06
