Compiled by Kelly Carrington The Power Rankings compiled by the SJHL show there was no change in the top five teams heading into the final weekend of the regular season. The Flin Flon Bombers sat fifth in the rankings while the Bauer Conference leading Humboldt Broncos took first in the list. Forward Riley Storzuk and goaltender Devin Buffalo were listed in the Who's Hot rankings for the week, as well. Here's how the 12 teams ranked heading into the weekend: 1 - Humboldt Broncos (35-12-2-2) .. 1st last week Broncos are tied with Yorkton for first overall and have a game in hand. 2 - Yorkton Terriers (35-13-1-3) .. 2nd last week They left the door open a crack for Melville in the final full week, but should still finish first. 3-Melville Millionaires (33-14-2-2) .. 3rd last week Winners of eight straight, they'll need to win their last three just to have a 'hope' for first in the Sherwood. 4 - Nipawin Hawks (31-14-2-4) .. 4th last week It just doesn't seem like they lose at all anymore. They've won six straight, nine of ten, and are a very tough match-up for anybody. 5 - Flin Flon Bombers (32-19-0-0) .. 5th last week With attention now focused on Broncos and Hawks, the Bombers are showing signs of turning it back up again. 6 - Battlefords North Stars (25-19-2-5) .. 7th last week They've been scuffling a little bit as of late; but all of their games have been close and they are coming off a win over Humboldt. 7 - Notre Dame Hounds (26-21-0-5) .. 6th last week Hard to tell if their losing streak is a result of a team that has nothing to play for at the moment or whether the wheels have totally come off. 8-Kindersley Klippers (20-27-3-2) .. 8th last week We will give them the benefit of the doubt despite getting smoked by the Bruins last night. With just five road wins this season, they need to finish fourth. 9 - Estevan Bruins (19-28-4-0) .. 9th last week They are at it again looking like world beaters with a domination of Kindersley. 10 - La Ronge Ice Wolves (19-30-0-3) .. 11th last week Playoff hopes aren't dashed yet and that win against the Mustangs last week could loom large. 11 - Melfort Mustangs (18-28-3-2) .. 10th last week Extremely tough end to the schedule, they need to find a way to win a couple to give themselves a playoff spot without relying on help. 12 - Weyburn Red Wings (15-33-0-3) .. 12th last week Out of the playoffs for the first time in fourteen years. Who's Hot Tad Kozun, Nipawin (9-7-7-14) He has points in each of his last seven and is the hottest player on one of the league's hottest teams. Dylan Smith, Estevan (8-9-3-12) hen he produces, he does it in bunches. Dion Antisin, Notre Dame (6-2-7-9) Putting up numbers even if his team isn't putting up wins. Riley Storzuk, Flin Flon (4-1-6-7) Flin Flon's most key forward continues to roll along rather anonymously. Ian McNulty, Melville (6-5-6-11) Last season surge, likely, ends any suspense to a league scoring title. Tanner Quinn, Battlefords (6-5-2-7) This is why the 'Who's Hot' feature is cool. Quinn isn't in the scoring leaders, but teams should be focusing on him right now. Kailum Gervais, Yorkton (5-2-4-6) Starting to show signs of a breakout. Matt Hrynkiw, Humboldt (4-1, 1.00, .958, 1SO) Just an average month for Hrynkiw. Dawson MacAuley, Yorkton (4-0-0-1, 1.57, .941) Shouldn't be any question he'll be the starter in the playoffs. Jordan Liem, Nipawin (5-1, 1.67, .939, 1SO) He's played twice as much as Davis Jones down the stretch. Connor Creech, Battlefords (1-2-2, 2.14, .935, 1SO) Only one win in those five starters amplifies just how good he needs to be for the Stars to win on some nights. Devin Buffalo, Flin Flon (4-1, 2.20, .935) Safe to say, he's back.
