Flin Flon boys, girls earn weekend volleyball wins

Seventeen volleyball teams participated in a fun junior high tournament over the weekend. Creighton Community School hosted the girls while the boys played at Ecole McIsaac School. The girls games featured four teams from McIsaac, one from Ruth Betts Community School, one from The Pas, one from Snow Lake and two from Creighton. One the boys side, two teams from McIsaac competed with two teams from Creighton, one from Snow Lake, one from Ruth Betts, one from Cranberry Portage and one from The Pas. McIsaac Reed took first place in the boys division while McIsaac 4 earned top spot in the girls division. The Flin Flon girls defeated the team from The Pas in the finals while Ruth Betts matched up against Snow Lake. Ruth Betts went on to defeat Snow Lake in the semi final for their pool. In two very close well played games, McIsaac came out victorious. Players will travel to The Pas next month to end their volleyball season.
