With a big 8-3 win over Estevan last Friday, Dec. 9, the Flin Flon Bombers extended their winning streak to four games.

“All four lines were rolling,” said Bombers assistant coach Garry Childerhose.

The Bombers, who beat Weyburn 5-3 earlier last week, have now won 10 of their last 11 games. Flin Flon sports a 19-8-2-2 record.

The squad is currently playing without head coach Mike Reagan, forward Brandon Lesko and defenceman Cory Thomas. They are all part of Team Canada West at the World Junior A Challenge in Bonnyville, Alta.

Childerhose and fellow assistant coach Chris Bortis are leading the team in Reagan’s absence.

The Bombers’ depth was evident as eight different players scored against Estevan. Dondre Watson, Flin Flon’s early season points leader, lit the lamp – on an exciting rush – for the first time since Oct. 13.

Greyson Reitmeier had five assists. He leads the Bombers with 44 points and is second in the league.

Flin Flon was scheduled to play in La Ronge on Tuesday, after The Reminder went to press. The Bombers are in Battleford Wednesday and Friday, and Kindersley on Saturday. Their next game after that will be Dec. 30 in La Ronge.
