Flin Flon Bombers Golf Tournament brings fans, players together

The Flin Flon Bombers Golf Tournament, held last Friday, Sept. 11, brought fans and players together. Seventeen teams, each made up of fans and players, finished nine holes of golf before dining on a steak dinner.

Seventeen teams, each made up of fans and players, finished nine holes of golf before dining on a steak dinner.

The tournament included a few fun challenges, with participants seeing how far they could drive a ball with a hockey stick and how accurately they could chip onto the green while wearing hockey gloves. On another hole, participants aimed for a hoop lying on the ground. There was also a putting contest.

Results

First: Team 12 consisting of Brandon Brown, Murray Grimes, Ryan Karakochuk, Steve Stelmach, Jim Glynn and Bomber Isaac Tkachuk

Second: Team 11 consisting of Hugh Bettger, Jack Chrisp, Aidan Chrisp, Zack Crisp and Bombers Joel Kocur and Brandon Switzer

Third: Team 13 consisting of Mark Davis, Kelly Davis, Lee Ayling, Chris Weseen and Bombers Mason Etter and Curtis Roach

Longest drive: Zack Chrisp (men), Jill Rideout (women)
