The Flin Flon Bombers have announced that 1994-born forward Brett Boehm (Martensville, Saskatchewan) has committed to the University of Saskatchewan Huskies men’s ice hockey team of the CIS for the 2015-16 season.

Boehm played parts of three seasons with the Bombers starting in 2012-13 when he was named the SJHL’s Rookie of the Year after posting 54 points (25G, 29A) in 49 games.

After starting the 2013-14 season with 23 points (10G, 13A) in 21 games, Boehm was dealt to the Yorkton Terriers, were he would be a part of the team’s Canalta Cup, WCC and RBC Cup championships.

His rights were dealt back to the Bombers as part of a futures deal with the Terriers, and after starting last season with the University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs, Boehm returned to the Bombers.

He put up 28 points (8G, 20A) in 23 games and was named the SJHL’s Player of the Month for January.

Boehm finished up his junior career with 149 points (64G, 85A) in 123 games and 32 points (16G, 1A) in 31 playoff games.

Boehm will join former Bombers Cam Blair and Josh Roach on the Huskies roster.

The Huskies play in the Canada West conference in the CIS.
