The Flin Flon Aqua Doves showed off the routines and skills they learned throughout the synchronized swimming season at last week’s annual watershow.
Recreational and competitive teams performed their routines to upbeat songs like “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King” and “Somebody To Love” on Thursday, April 23 at the Aqua Centre.
The 25 girls impressed the audience with their choreography, spins and sculling.
Coach Kylee Andersen said she enjoyed watching the girls improve over the season.
“When my team started, they were these little girls who could barely swim,” Andersen said before the girls performed their routine. “I’m so proud of them.”
The Aqua Doves program is designed not only to improve swimming skills, but also social skills, confidence, self-esteem and artistic abilities.
