Kelly Carrington Staff Writer Evan Hinckley, a new resident of Creighton, was the big winner in The Reminder's Fishing Gear contest. Hinckley recently moved to the area from Alberta and was entered as surprise by his girlfriend Aleah Davidson. The two were planning on buying new fishing gear for the area, but got the call from The Reminder that they had won the prize worth over $600. Hinckley walked away with a deli meat pack from Eddie's Family Foods; a Muck Boot Company Came Fishing Shoes gift certificate from Kleen All; a grocery gift card from North of 53 Consumers Co-op; a barbecue from Stittco Energy and fishing gear, including two rods and two tackle boxes, from The Reminder. Throughout the month of June, 356 entries were submitted, including Hinckley's lucky one.
