While cold weather postponed a number of events from the recent Bust the Winter Blues Festival, conditions warmed up, a little bit, to allow the Family Fishing Derby to go ahead February 17. Eight people made it out to this yearÕs event in hopes of taking home the Largest fish trophy. But it was Mary Zagrodney, with a 27Ó fish, who claimed not only the largest fish, but the only fish caught for the day. The McIntyre family was out on the ice as well as they scooped up the youngest and the oldest fisher trophies. To continue with the Bust the Winter Blues Festival, the postponed Boot Hockey Tournament, on Bereskin Bunk, will be held March 16 in Creighton and the Centaloppet will be March 22, out on Ross Lake.
