The recent snow means we now have the best skiing conditions we have had for the past several years Ð our trail-grooming volunteers are having a hard time keeping up! The Ski Club maintains 27 kilometers of excellent trails Ð if you would like to get to know them better, join us for our first guided tour of the season in the Carlisle Lake area this Sunday Ð January 25. Meet at the chalet at 1:30pm. The distance will be between five and eight kilometers. Everybody welcome. For the information of those unfortunate folk who have to work during the day, the lights are on around the Valley Loop from 5-10 p.m. each evening. The facilities are maintained by Ski Club volunteers, so make sure you do your bit by depositing your trail fee - or check with Dembinsky's on Main Street about becoming a member. For further information on Ski Club activities, why not join us at our general meeting at the chalet on Tuesday January 27 at 7 p.m. - or call President Larry Linnick at 687-5073, or VP Dave Price at 687-4317 - you could also check our web site (which is in the process of being updated) at: www.geocities.com/ffskiclub .
