This is our final plea to all Bomber fans to donate your $50 to the Player Acquisition Fund. Back in April our Bomber Fan Club Committee phoned over 300 Bomber fans to ask for the help in donating $50 again this season. Of the 300 people phoned, well over 85% said they would be on board again this year to help out the fan club. To this point only $4,000 has been raised, which is about 80 people who have come forward. It's a far cry from last year when we raised $14,750. This fund raising has helped the Bombers last year acquire some key players and this year as well. The Fan Club Committee has given the Bombers $10,000 to start off this season, which leaves us with a balance of $450. To add to this, this will be the final year for the Bomber Fan Club. The fans who have come forward with their commitment have done their part and have helped the Bombers acquire some key players. It is in my opinion only that the Flin Flon Junior Bombers next year should increase season tickets so that $10 of every season ticket goes toward player acquisition. So, for example, 1,000 season tickets would equal $10,000 towards player acquisition each year. Not to mention if the Bombers make the playoffs then maybe more money could be put towards player acquisitions. If you are interested in donating your $50, please drop down to the Gas Bar before September 17 or bring it to their first home game. I'll be set up between periods in the lobby. My final word to all the Bomber fans who helped make this possible for last year and this year is thank you very much for believing the fan club would work. It has made a difference and was worth the risk. Thank you again to all the fans and the Fan Club Committee.
