Former Flin Flon Bombers captain Dean Allison will join the SAIT Trojans in Calgary for the 2015-16 season.
For the fourth time this offseason, the Bombers announced Wednesday that a member of the 2014-15 team will continue his playing career in the collegiate ranks.
Allison, from Surrey, BC, played in parts of two seasons with the Bombers after he was picked up following his release from the Aberni Valley Bulldogs of the BCHL.
In his first season with the club Allison finished with 10 points (5G, 5A) in 39 games but had his coming out party in the hard-fought five-game series against the Estevan Bruins – he led the team with seven points (3G, 4A), helping them almost upend the Bruins.
The next season Allison continued his strong play, finishing up the 2014-15 season with 53 points (15G, 38A) in 56 games, adding another six points (2G, 4A) in the seven-game series against the Notre Dame Hounds.
An excellent person in the faceoff circle, Allison was also relied on for his strong leadership qualities, leading the team as their captain for his final season in junior hockey.
