Flin Flon slo-pitch hosted teams from The Pas and Easterville over the weekend, awarding $3,000 in prizes to the top teams.
The Evil Marsupials took the A-side final over The Pas’ Paperworks Pounders in a mercy game of just five innings.
Evil walked away with $2,000 for its
first-place finish, and the Pounders picked up $1,000 for second.
On the B-side, EVM out of Easterville took first place over Flin Flon’s A Team.
EVM scored new hoodies and the A team picked long-sleeve shirts.
Fourteen teams took to the diamonds over the weekend for the Flin Flon Creighton Slo-Pitch League’s second cash tournament of the season.
Games were held at Centoba Park on Friday and Saturday, with a few playoff games held in Creighton Sunday morning.
The finals were held Sunday afternoon as ball players from other teams lined the fences to cheer on their chosen team at Centoba Park.
