Friday is the last day to register for the Ethics in Coaching seminar, to be held on Sunday, January 18, 2004. Flin Flon Parks and Recreation is hosting the seminar as part of the 2004 Coaching Manitoba winter seminar series. These seminars are designed for grass roots and community coaches. If you are interested in this two-hour workshop, you must register by December 19 by calling the Aqua Centre at 681-7540. The seminar is open to all coaches of any sport, and parents are welcome to attend. David Telles-Langdon will be leading the discussion. He is a chartered professional coach, director of the National Coaching Institute of Manitoba, and has Level 5 sailing certification. "We would like to encourage parents and coaches to sign up for this," said Brenda Russell, Flin Flon recreation director. "These seminars don't come our way often. It's a good opportunity for coaches and parents to take it and enhance their knowledge." The seminar will be held on Sunday, January 18 from 7-9 p.m. in the Green Room at the Community Hall.
