The NHL draft is set to take place in Raleigh, North Carolina this weekend. The Washington Capitals are expected to take top prospect Alexander Ovechkin first overall, unless another team makes them an offer they can't refuse before Saturday. Russian Evgeni Malkin and Cam Barker of the Medicine Hat Tigers are two of the other names thrown around to go high in the draft, as well as Andrew Ladd, who is the top rated North American skater by the NHL's Central Scoutting.
