On behalf of his store, Flin Flon Wal-Mart manager Chris Hannah recently donated $1,200 to the Flin Flon Bombers. The Bombers donated half ($600) of the money they received to the Lord Bounty's Food Bank. Hannah presented the first cheque to Bomber goalie Carsen Chubak and office manager Dawn Cardell. Wal-Mart was the game sponsor of the Bombers second home game, where tickets were sold on a 32" TV, which raised $780 to put towards the money given to the Bombers. Aside from the raised money, Hannah was also given a grant match, bringing the final total to $1,200. Hannah says it's "awesome to see the community involvement." Cardell says she's pleased with the outcome, and "everything was awesome. Wal-Mart did really well." Aside from the money already raised, Wal-Mart will be having a raffle on a Sidney Crosby jersey. The jersey is the only one of 10 in Canada, says Hannah. The raffle will be drawn at the Bombers home game on November 24 with funds going to the Bombers, says Hannah. Bomber captain Dennis Kubat made the second donation, on behalf of the Bombers, to the Lord Bounty's Food Bank last week.
