Feed the dog, walk the dog, brush the dog, feed the dogÉ and so on and so on. Is your relationship with your best friend getting predictable? Are you both tired of the same old games of fetch the tennis ball? Is Rover bored, chewing up everything, digging holes all over the yard? Or, maybe both of you have added a few extra pounds over the winter? Could you use a little help? Copper City Canines to the rescue! This local dog club can put some fun back in your dog's life and yours too! From basic and advanced obedience to dog agility, there is something for every dog and their human. Think your dog is too small, too big, too tall or too short? Copper City Canines welcomes dogs of all sizes from the teacup poodle to the Great Dane and all breeds, mixed, part and pure. If you're not sure if Dog Agility is a sport you'd like, come out and see a demonstration. You'll stand amazed as the handlers send their dogs racing through an obstacle course of A-frames, tunnels, hurdles, catwalks, and hoop jumps. (Though not as amazed as some of us owners, when the dogs do it right!) You'll see demos of dog obedience and will gain new insight into why an obedient dog can be a joy to live with. Come on out and join the fun at the club's first demo of the year this Sunday, May 1st at Queens Park, in front of Hapnot Collegiate. The club is proud be part of the events at the park on Sunday, as the SPCA begins the celebration of "Be Kind to Animals Week". A happy dog is a well behaved dog who understands its place in the universe; which is right by your side as you participate in all the fun the Copper City Canines has to offer!
