Flin Flon Bomber rookies will have to continue to work hard to make a difference. "They've got to compete every day to work their way in the lineup," Ryan Hoffman, the Bombers coach, says. "Up front our rookies give us a lot of depth. We have 12 veteran junior hockey forwards so right now, our rookies kind of make up our fifth line." The Bomber blueline is bigger, which is bad news for opponents. With every defensemen being at least six feet tall or more and 200-plus pounds, clearing the crease shouldn't be a problem. Hoffman say they also have the skills to move the puck. "As with all rookies, they're going to make their errors but, I think for the most part, they have made pretty good decisions," he said, prior to their opening game in La Ronge on Friday. Rookie additions are as follows: On defense, Cody Bray, Keelan Cook, Myles Masse, and Clayton Weppler. Forwards are Devin Enns, Darryl Finnerty, Marty Forest, and Kenton Staines. In goal, Travis Crickard joins second year Bomber Dale Pettit. Brett Needham and Jared Kissick were acquired through trades.9/19/2005
