It was another bang-up day at the Pineroot Raceway as drivers prepared for their vehicles for the annual Demolition Derby. Roughly 450 spectators watched last Sunday as drivers smashed into each other, got stuck up in one another and then eventually killed off other cars. With four heats, the Main Event, the Four-Cylinder Event, the Powder Puff and the Mechanics events, there was lots of action to be taken in. The Flin Flon Fire Department was on hand to put out two small fires Ð one of which resulted in the car being taken from the contest. As well as the demolition component, drivers had an incentive to paint their cars and decorate them in fine fashion. Cory Raddysh took the prize with his Best Dressed car, decked out in bright green and black paint. But it was Dustin Law who took the Main Event trophy. Earning the Hard Luck trophy was Kevin Niedermaier, while Chad Lycan earned the Sportsmanship award. The following is a list of winners and their events: Heat One - Jason Feuerstein Heat Two - Reid Nowlin Heat Three - Hammy Heat Four - Dustin Law First Consolation - Crystal Christianson Second Consolation - Cory Raddysh Four Cylinder - Frank Pockett Main Event - Dustin Law Powder Puff - Tricia Mymko Mechanics - Kerry Christianson Hard Luck - Kevin Niedermaier Sportsmanship - Chad Lycan Best Dressed - Cory Raddysh
