Submitted Article Northern Spirit Taekwondo held their most recent test last Saturday. The test began with a board breaking demonstration performed by Kari Rutherford. She was followed by the testing of three, five and six year old students, for their yellow stripe. All three performed well as they demonstrated a series of combination moves, free sparing and defense techniques. The Taekwondo teaching methods develop a strong, healthy and agile body as well as character and spirit through perseverance, practice and patience. Each member testing did remarkably well. One member, Julie Finnie, performed so well she was unanimously awarded a double grade. At the conclusion of the test Trevor Loat had the onlookers awestruck by breaking two bricks.
