Major Chief Warrant Officer Erin Harper, of Flin Flon's 2328 Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps, has been recognized as the top army cadet in Manitoba for 2009. She accepted the prestigious Hubbell Award scholarship, worth $750. Similar awards go to the top air and sea cadets in the province. Fellow cadets and corps officials congratulate her on her achievement, saying it was well deserved. Erin, a Hapnot Collegiate student, went to camp in Whitehorse this summer, working as a staff cadet and instructor at the National Army cadet adventure training camp. She is pictured receiving a separate award earlier this year from Calm Gorrell of the the local cadet corps.
