The 24th Flin Flon Open Darts Championships takes place this weekend at the Royal Canadian Legion and once again it promises to attract two of the best players in the country. Gerry Convery and Rory Orvis have both indicated that they will be making the trip North. Once again the community and local business have embraced this event with their terrific support and the Victoria Inn has become a corporate sponsor. A strong local field of dart players will again make for an exciting tournament which begins on Friday night with a blind doubles and runs through Saturday and Sunday. If you don't play the game, it is not a bad spectator sport and you should be able to see some darts being thrown that would equal what you see on the television.
