Gord Brown's rink took first place in the Willowpark Curling Club's Hot Stove league, for Monday nights, this year. Brown was joined by Third Ken Mansell, Second Wes Hornyak and Lead Ron Radics. Second place went to Skip John Munson's rink of Third Norm Flagel, Second Ken Allen and Lead Steve Shtuka Third place went to Russ Kennedy's rink. Along with Kennedy were Third Ron Baschuk, Second Bryan Dixon and Lead Amby Brecht. Fourth place went to Menno Giesbrecht's rink. Accepting with Giesbrecht were Third Bob Quinn, Second Ron Burwash and Lead Darrell Nomeland. First place in the second group went to Lyle Lavis' rink of Third Lorne Morrison, Second Joe Cap and Lead Murray Jackson. Second place went to Skip Jim Meyer, Third Don Rose, Second Craig Craig and Lead Tony McDonald. John Vielgut's rink was third as he, Third Geoff Stuckless, Second Don McLaren and Lead Earl Steven curled their way to the bronze. Fourth place went to Don Holmes' rink of Third Bob Bloxom, Second Bill Borschewski and Lead Harry Antoniw. In the third event, first place went to Don Melien's rink of Third Don Logan, Second Rick Jackson and Lead Jim Ritchie. Skip Bev Baker's rink, with Norm Leclerc as Third, Greg Brown as Second and Doug Gibson as Lead, earned second place. And third place went to Lee Davis' rink of Third Doug Anderson, Second Doug Gourlay and Lead Don Ginter. The Bert Graves Trophy, for the Wednesday night curlers, was presented by Graves' daughter Wanda Ginnell to John Munson's first-place rink. Joining Munson on the ice were Third Norm Leclerc, Second Don McLaren and Lead Rick Jackson.
