Submitted by Norm LeClerc The 18th Masters Spiel was held the weekend of Jan. 7 and 8 at the Willow Park Curling Club. The Masters Curling Club is open to curlers who are 60 years of age and older, who get together once a year for this bonspiel. Curlers are graded and drawn from a hat to determine the make-up of the teams. There were seven teams this year. Following grace, a lovely catered lunch was enjoyed by all present. The winning teams were as follows: Creighton Furniture Event 1st - skip John Vielgut, second Bill Borschewski, third Norm LeClerc and lead Tony McDonald 2nd - skip Don Holmes, second Don McLaren, third Lorne Morrison and lead Mel Hammell 3rd - skip John Munson, second Wes Hornyak, third Norm Flagel, lead D. Ginter 4th - skip Lyle Lavis, second Joe Cap, third Gord Brown, lead Steve Shtuka CIBC Event 1st - skip Dennis Anderson, second Don Rose, third Ken Mansell, lead Darrel Nomeland 2nd - skip Russ Kennedy, second Bryan Dixon, third Ray White, low Rick Jackson 3rd - skip Doug Anderson, second Ron Radics, third Don Melien, lead Murray Jackson
