As part of Northern Physical Activity Month (NPAM), the Town of Creighton has a few activities planned. The NPAM, the former week-long event, will have students and residents of Creighton being active throughout the community. The Saskatchewan-based event will have seniors participating in Stretch Band exercises as well as a community-wide Poker Walk. Taking part in the events will be the Creighton Community School, Kids First North, Town of Creighton, Sask. Lotteries, in motion and CADAC. To keep Denare Beach on their toes, the Town of Creighton has issued a challenge to the Village for the Poker Walk. As well as the seniors and general public, the students of Creighton Community School be will getting in on the action as well. A hackey sack competition will see who reins with the best technique between Grades 4 and 6. As well, students will be able to participate in the in motion hula hoop and skipping challenge for Grades 3 and 4. And to carry out the last of the elementary grades, there will be an obstacle course at the Creighton Sportex for Grades 5 and 6. The Kindergarten children will get their turn with a treasure walk. Giving everyone the opportunity to have some fun, a school-wide Got To Dance Sock Hop will end out the week, on Friday. The activities get started on Monday, May 11th with dates to be rescheduled throughout the month if needed.
