TSN hits and rolls its way to the Medicine Hat Curling Club in Alberta for 26 hours of the Continental Cup of Curling from November 25 to 28. A favourite among curling fans, the unique Ryder Cup-style event features the world's best male and female curlers representing North America and Europe in singles, mixed doubles, team and skins competition. TSN's Vic Rauter will be in the broadcast booth alongside analyst and Olympic gold medallist Linda Moore and analyst and former Brier champion Ray Turnbull. Former two-time Canadian curling champion Cathy Gauthier will also be in Medicine Hat to provide rinkside commentary. At the end of the event, the team with the most points is declared the winner and awarded the Continental Cup Trophy and $125,000. The runner-up receives $75,000. Canadian skips set to compete include 2004 world champion Colleen Jones (Halifax), 2004 Canada Cup champion Randy Ferbey (Edmonton), 2004 Canadian champion Mark Dacey (Halifax), and last year's Scott Tournament of Hearts finalist Marie-France Larouche (Quebec City). Both teams have one win apiece at the annual event, with Team Europe defeating North America 208-179 at last year's competition in Thunder Bay, Ont.
