Cold temperatures cancelled the Sask Cup provincial ski races in Flin Flon last weekend, but that didn’t halt all of the competition.
What was originally going to be a two-day competition turned into a one-day event Feb. 15 as the classic technique races went ahead at the Flin Flon Ski Chalet.
Fourteen skiers from the Flin Flon area competed in their respective age categories against 28 other participants.
Flin Flon’s Gracie Baynton was first to cross the finish line in the midget girls category, making her one of six first-place finishers.
Brooke Baynton earned first place among the atom girls, followed by Isabel Plamondon.
