Swift Current Broncos general manager & head coach, Dean Chynoweth announced this afternoon that Dave Hunchak will be the team's new assistant coach. Hunchak joins the Broncos after spending the last four seasons as head coach of the Kindersley Klippers. He replaces former Broncos assistant coach Brian Glynn. Hunchak spent the last seven seasons with the Kindersley Klippers as an assistant coach ('88 to '00) and then as the head coach ('01 to '04). Highlight's of Hunchak's career included: RBC Canadian Junior 'A' Silver Medallist ('04), Abbot Cup Championship ('04), Anavet Cup Championships ('04), Anavet Cup Silver Medalists ('02) and two SJHL MemberCare Cup Championships ('02,'04). Hunchak was also named the SJHL Coach of the Year in '02 and was the finalist in '04. Making the move to Swift Current along with Dave is his wife Kim and their children Brendan & Alyssa.
