Once again the Flin Flon branch of Kang's Taekwondo Academy did well in the Canada America games held in Winnipeg at the University of Manitoba. A large group of members from Flin Flon and Denare Beach left Friday, April 23, 2004 on the bus to Winnipeg and on Saturday, 24 Flin Flon members competed. There were 22 medals won, seven gold, nine silver and six bronze. Denare Beach academy also had six members competing and brought home four bronze medals. The competition was well attended with approximately 480 competitors. This year marked the 28th anniversary of Kang's Taekwondo Academy in Canada. The Flin Flon academy will be beginning their summer hours soon and will continue running throughout the summer.
