Kelly Carrington Staff Writer Flin Flon Bomber and Philadelphia Flyer legend Bob Clarke continues to win awards well after the end of his career. The Flin Flon native recently received the Western Hockey League's WHL Alumni Achievement Award in the professional hockey category. Clarke laced up his skates for the Bombers in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, the Manitoba Junior Hockey League and, for two seasons beginning in 1967, the Western Hockey League. During those two WHL seasons, Clarke was the league's top scorer. After being drafted by the Flyers in the second round in 1969, Clarke went on to play 15 seasons in Philadelphia, winning two Stanley Cups along the way. Today he is the Flyers' senior vice-president. Winning in the academic scholarship category was Jeff Zorn, a blueliner who played with the Prince George Cougars from 1995-2000 before joining the Saskatoon Blades. Zorn is now a doctor in Edmonton.
