The CFL tradition continues on TSN with coverage of 50 games this year, including the season opener on June 15 featuring Saskatchewan Roughriders at Toronto Argonauts. TSN will televise Wendy's Friday Night Football every Friday night throughout the regular season, Wendy's CFL Live games during the week, 15 pre-game shows and six doubleheaders. Other highlights include the Hall of Fame Game featuring Edmonton @ Hamilton on October 1 (coincides with the CFL's Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony), the traditional Labour Day Weekend Classic with Winnipeg @ Saskatchewan on September 5, and a rematch from the Labour Day game between provincial rivals featuring Calgary @ Edmonton on September 10. TSN is now in the second year of a five-year 250-game broadcast deal with the Canadian Football League. The B.C. Lions headline TSN's 2004 broadcast schedule with 13 games, followed by 12 games each for Ottawa, Winnipeg and Calgary, 11 match-ups each for Montreal and Hamilton, 10 tilts each for Edmonton and Saskatchewan, and 9 games for Toronto. TSN will go with a three-man studio show this season, anchored by returning host Dave Randorf with returning analysts Chris Schultz and Jock Climie. TSN's CFL colour commentator Glen Suitor will be heavily involved in the pre-game shows, providing analysis and previews of the upcoming games. The CFL on TSN studio show also features special guests throughout the season, including current players and coaches. "We have a solid studio team in Dave, Chris and Jock. They're insightful, entertaining and their passion for the game is unrivalled. The chemistry on the set is extraordinary," says Rick Chisholm, Vice-President of Production, TSN. "The addition of special studio guests, along with having Glen more involved in our pre-games, gives the CFL on TSN studio show a nice variety throughout the year." In the broadcast booth, Suitor will once again work alongside John Wells, who heads into his 32nd season calling CFL games.
