STAMPS 18, RIDERS 14 In an exhibitionn game played Wednesday, June 8, Jermaine Copeland turned QB to connect with Nik Lewis on a lateral pass from Henry Burris to put the first TD on the scoreboard for the Stamps. Kicker Sandro DeAngelis rounded out the scoring for Calgary booting three field goals through the uprights from 18, 38 and 30 yards. Marcus Crandell started at QB for the Riders, and completed 13-of-23 passes for 156 yards. Fullback Chris Szarka had the first TD for Saskatchewan and QB Rocky Butler, who came in for Crandell, gave the Riders a 14-12 lead near the end of the third quarter. But it was not enough as DeAngelis of the Stamps put the game out of reach. The rookies had a tough night and coaches will be evaluating their play, deciding who is next to go home.
