Taking a look at the play-offs to date, the SJHL has compiled a list, of six players, who could possibly win the Play-off Most Valuable Player award. Selections have been chosen from Humboldt and Melville, though it is not guaranteed a player will be chosen form this list. Humboldt* Matthew Kirzinger Ð Kirzinger leads all playoff performers in goals with six. He had a hat trick in game two against the Bombers and has points in four of his last five overall. He leads the team with 10 points in eight games. Andrew Bodnarchuk Ð The underrated puckstopper is a perfect 7-0 with a miniscule 1.30-GAA and an outstanding .950-SPCT. He hasn't given up more than two goals in any one game and blanked the Bombers for 54 minutes in game three at the Whitney Forum. Brady Wacker Ð The SJHL Player Of The Year has been a force in the playoffs with nine points in 10 games. He anchors a blueline that keeps shots against Bodnarchuk to a minimum. The Broncos have allowed more than 23 shots (when Bodnarchuk is in the net) only twice in seven games. Melville* Kale Dolinski Ð Dolinski leads the Mils in scoring with 11 points in 13 games and why he doesn't have an NCAA scholarship at this stage in his career is one of the league's greater mysteries because he'd be a great prize. Even if he's not scoring, he's a threat every time he's on the ice. Travis Bosch Ð Bosch has had a Grant Fuhr type playoff to this point. His overall numbers are excellent (2.27, .930), but his play in games that have been crucial to the team (Game six and seven against Yorkton, Game six against Weyburn) have been beyond sensational. Curtis Beech Ð The fact that Beech is on the list truly reflects how the Millionaires have altered their game plan in the playoffs from the run and gun style they employed in the regular season. Beech only has one point, but his value goes way beyond anything on a scoresheet. He's very physical, yet clean. One on one, an opposing forward isn't likely to face a tougher blueliner. *This is an unofficial list and the winner could, quite possibly, be someone other than these six. This is simply a list to amplify some of the stronger players on both teams to this point.
