Submitted by Bust the Winter Blues Festival Committee Mark your calendars! The Bust the Winter Blues Festival will be here before you know it. Plans are currently underway for an exciting and fun-filled winter festival to take place on the weekend of February 25,26, and 27. Local committee members are currently busy organizing a variety of winter activities suitable for all ages Ð from children to seniors. The festival will kick-off the evening of Friday, February 25 with Trivia Night and will conclude Sunday, February 27 with the Family Fishing Derby. Some changes to this year's festival will be the change of venue for the Family Mardi Gras Dance, Creighton Community School will host this popular dance with Fireworks over Creighton, courtesy of the Flin Flon Fireworks Committee leading up to the dance. Back by popular demand, the baking contest, sleigh rides and the smooshing event will all be at this year's festival. The Bust the Winter Blues Festival is gearing up to be a weekend of winter fun that you won't want to miss. So, mark your calendars and don't get too comfortable on the couch this winter. Even the most dedicated couch potato won't be able to resist all the fun!
