Kelly Carrington Staff Writer Returning Flin Flon Bombers goaltender Devin Buffalo ranked fifth in the SJHL in terms of save-percentage as of Monday afternoon. Sitting with a .928 per cent SP, Buffalo was a few hundredths of a point off from top goaltender Jordan Liem. Liem, the Nipawin Hawks' netminder, sat with a 1.000 average after he played just one of the team's four games this season. Buffalo sat in fifth place but had 240 minutes under his belt compared to Liem's 60. Meanwhile, returning Bomber Riley Storzuk was tied for second place among SJHL goal scorers. Russell Trudeau of the Melville Millionaires led the race with five goals as Storzuk sat with four, as of Monday. Trudeau was tied with Ryhse Dieno of the La Ronge Ice Wolves while Storzuk shared his four-goal output with Melville's Sean Aschim and North Star Brody Luhning. The Bombers won't hit the ice for another game until Friday as they welcome the Kindersley Klippers for game one of two this weekend. The Bombers continued to lead the Bauer Conference and SJHL with eight points in four games. La Ronge sat close behind in the same conference with six points in five games. Tied with six points were the Klippers, leading the Sherwood Conference after four games. The Estevan Bruins held last place in the Sherwood Conference with three points in six games while the Melfort Mustangs claimed last in the Bauer Conference with four points in five games. The Battlefords North Stars of the Bauer Conference and the Sherwood Conference's Yorkton Terriers and Weyburn Red Wings also sat with four points apiece. The Nipawin Hawks sat in third place in the Bauer Conference with five points _ tied with the Humboldt Broncos. In the Sherwood Conference, the Melville Millionaires and Notre Dame Hounds were tied with six points apiece. Melville and Notre Dame will go head-to-head tonight to see who breaks the tie. Tomorrow night, the Melfort Mustangs and La Ronge Ice Wolves face off.
