Kelly Carrington Staff Writer A poll on the SJHL website shows fans are picking the Yorkton Terriers and Humboldt Broncos to face of for the Canalta Cup. As of last Friday morning, 41 per cent of voters predicted a Humboldt-Yorkton match-up for the league final. Twenty-two per cent thought the final would be played between the Melville Millionaires and Humboldt Broncos. A Flin Flon-Yorkton series was predicted by 19 per cent of voters, while Flin Flon-Melville was favoured by 18 per cent. The poll had 503 votes cast as of press time. The Bombers and Broncos got started in Humboldt with Games 1 and 2 on Friday and Saturday, both of which were played after The Reminder went to press. Tomorrow night, the Bombers will host Game 3 with Game 4 following the night after. In the Sherwood Conference, the Yorkton Terriers and Melville Millionaires are competing for top spot. They started their series in Yorkton Friday night with Game 2 going Saturday night in Melville. Games 3 and 4 go tonight in Yorkton and Wednesday in Melville. If needed, both series will advance to Games 5, 6, and 7 until a winner is decided. The winner from the Bauer Conference and the winner from the Sherwood Conference will compete for the Canalta Cup and top honours of the SJHL. From there, the winner will advance to play the winner of the MJHL for the Anavet Cup.
